Judge Geary Kull was appointed Circuit Judge of Cook County by Chief Justice of the Illinois Supreme Court, Thomas Fitzgerald, on June 7, 2009.  



Thank you for taking an interest in the judicial race for the Ninth Subcircuit, and especially, in my candidacy. As it turns out, I have lived most of my life in the Ninth Subcircuit, first in Lincolnwood, and subsequently in Evanston for the last 35 years. I have seen the area grow into a wonderfully diverse, progressive, and unique community. I believe that my history and involvement within this community make me a true representative of all that the Ninth Subcircuit has to offer. My friends, family, and supporters are a genuine testament to who I am. They have created this website and are supporting my candidacy. Over the next few months, I hope to win your support and look forward to the opportunity to meet each and every one of you.

A judicial election is unique in politics because as a candidate for Judge, I cannot promise to lower taxes or create jobs. I can promise, however, that each and every decision I make will be based upon the law, tempered with compassion, and grounded in experience. Please take the time to compare the candidates, to look at the recommendations from the legal community, and to see what each candidate has  to offer. You can then make an informed decision.
